Formerly known as the Washington Redskins, the team competes in the National Football League as a member club of the NFC East division. The team tentatively rebranded as the Washington Football Team and is scheduled to adopt a permanent name for the 2022 season. Washington is valued at approximately US$3.4 billion according to Forbes, making them the seventh-most valuable team in the NFL and the 14th-most valuable sports franchise globally.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A couch player: The Buccaneers are technically the second post-merger expansion team to appear in and win a Super Bowl, when considering the Cleveland Browns relocation as the Baltimore Ravens controversy; however, they are the first expansion team to be completely formed and built after the merger to do so. The team improved their image by the late 1990s, culminating with their first championship in 2002, but would not win another playoff game until their second Super Bowl-winning postseason in 2020.
