Formerly known as the Washington Redskins, the team competes in the National Football League as a member club of the NFC East division. The team tentatively rebranded as the Washington Football Team and is scheduled to adopt a permanent name for the 2022 season. Washington is valued at approximately US$3.4 billion according to Forbes, making them the seventh-most valuable team in the NFL and the 14th-most valuable sports franchise globally.
