Wow, it's been a minute. I'm really sorry guys, with two tiny kiddos it just wasn't happening for awhile. We finally have a sleep schedule sorted out where they are consistently in bed by 7:30 and I can actually sit at the computer for an uninterrupted stretch of time without someone in my lap, so hey! Comics! I still expect updates to be irregular, possibly upon completion of a full scene rather than trying to meet a schedule and keep a buffer. Just... thanks for sticking with me, I will finish this darn thing lol
Previously on TBTS:
Elijah Kalgan is head of security on the Southern Sun and a bit of daydreamer. He's enamored with an Earth he has never known and will never know, floating with the rest of humanity far from our destroyed solar system. He gets the shock of his life when a fleet of ships arrive claiming to come from Earth, responding to a distress signal sent by Eli's best friend Chief Engineer MacPhearson. It quickly becomes apparent that for generations the crew of the Sun have been living a lie, but the captain, led by a mysterious group of priestesses and Bridge Commander Devers, is not prepared to give that lie up. He orders that the visitors be imprisoned and executed. Elijah and Mack forge a desperate plan to free the Earth crew and to seize control of the Southern Sun in order to protect the rest of the fleet and cooperate with them to return the ship to Earth. They have just recruited their immediate reports-Elijah's top security crew and Mack's head engineers- to join them in this cause.
Wow! Only discovered this incredible comic last October and am absolutely stoked to see the project still going! Hope a work/life balance is able to give you all the time you need with all you babies (both fictional and very real lol), and a big "Huzzah!" to getting passion projects rolling again. ^-^
Aw, thank you so so much! Yes, I'm very ready to have an under control schedule and it feels really good to be creating again. I appreciate your kind words!!
He's definitely taking notes on Ryder's report here, not just planting a seed in the captain's mind while deciding whether he wants soup or muffin with his stir fry.
Tbh, with two little kids around I expected this project to be dead or going so slow that I would be dead before it's coming to the mutiny. But if you could publish whole scenes like this here once a year, that would still be great.
And who knows, in a few years, maybe the now-little ones may help with the coloring :D
I go AWOL for a few months and am rewarded with this massive update? You are too kind, Roux. :)
Glad to hear things are going more smoothly with the kiddos, they're what's important after all, but still pleased as punch to get a chance to see you continue the adventure. Wonderful to have you back!
